6. “And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” -Anaïs Nin
I totally butchered speaking this woman's name on this week's episode when I read this, but her quote is one I hold very tightly to my heart. As I had to face the risks in allowing myself to fully bloom.
In this episode I elaborate a recent social media post I made about a wild sunflower that blossomed through the concrete sidewalk.
A very good lesson to take to heart. The overflowing beauty and joy that comes from allowing yourself to fully blossom is absolutely worth the risks you may endure to get there.
The world needs you in full bloom, not to shrivel up in pain while trapped tight in a bud.

Have you ever made a wish list for your life? Or taken the time to reflect during the milestones of your life?
In this week's episode I talk about the list I made 5 years ago when I was 30 and the things I had written out for what I wanted in my life in 5 years.
How I happened to find that note recently and was shocked to see everything I had written down became my reality.

Who are you blaming for the circumstances in your life? Such a great questions to ask ourselves.
It's so easy for us to place blame on external forces for why things are going wrong in our lives. We never stop to think about what responsibility we have in every situation. We forget our power, we forget we have choices and options
In this episode I share some of my 'aha' moments where I came to this realization, took responsibility and started making an effort to make changes in my life and how you can too.

Numbing the pain of hard truths can be a path that leads to addiction. Pain can also be produced from the experiences with an addict.
In this episode I am getting super vulnerable and sharing some of the experiences I had having a mother as an addict. How I felt, and a few of the traumatic moments I had with her as a child.
I also go into depth on gaining a greater awareness to the pain we experience in our lives, how to shift our focus to be able to live freely as our true selves. How we all have scars and we shouldn't be ashamed but love ourselves as we are, because even when we feel broken, we are still whole, and fully loved.

⚠️ SPOILER ALERT: This episode contains spoilers for Stranger Things Season 4!
As a huge Stranger Things fan, this season blew my mind. Between the dark storyline of Vecna, the emotional arc of Max, and Kate Bush’s hit “Running Up That Hill” making a powerful comeback, Season 4 highlighted not just incredible storytelling but also the healing power of music.
In this Heart AF episode, I explore how Vecna is the perfect parallel for our own negative self-talk, inner critic, fear, guilt, and shame. Just like Max, who uses music to escape Vecna’s grip, we can use sound, rhythm, and even our favorite songs to shift our energy, ground ourselves, and rise above self-sabotage. We’ll dive into how the show mirrors real life struggles, the spiritual and meditative benefits of music, and how to silence that inner Vecna to reclaim your power.
If you’ve ever struggled with fear, shame, self-doubt, or negative thinking, this episode is packed with insights, inspiration, and a reminder that healing tools can be found in unexpected places—even Netflix.

Live #HeartAF

I am an advocate for finding our inner strength.

We can view life as something that happens to us, choosing to be a victim, or find the inner strength through the power and love from our Source that is within us all, to heal our wounds and become the co-creators of our lives that we were always meant to be.

Instead of hardening our hearts and becoming bitter from our pain, we can find our purpose by healing and opening our hearts to the love, abundance, and opportunity that is available to us all.
