The Heart AF Podcast

The HEART AF podcast brings inspiration, awareness, support, and is creating a community for all of us with desires to break free from our conditioned cages. This podcast provides insights, tools, and inspiring stories for women along their own unique path of spiritual discovery, and self healing. Addressing the internal conflicts and struggles within because we don’t quite feel like we fit into the ‘cages’ we have been conditioned to be in. Living Heart AF is about living life as our most authentic selves, learning to love all the pieces of ourselves, owning all the ways we have been broken through life’s painful moments and recognizing we are still whole. It is time to stop dimming our lights and start to love ourselves again, remember who we are, what we are capable of, to reignite our hearts and rise again after the pain and traumas we go through in life, to realize our worth, our power, live in our natural state of joy and turn our inner lights back on and shine bright, because the world needs your light!

6. “And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” -Anaïs Nin
I totally butchered speaking this woman's name on this week's episode when I read this, but her quote is one I hold very tightly to my heart. As I had to face the risks in allowing myself to fully bloom.
In this episode I elaborate a recent social media post I made about a wild sunflower that blossomed through the concrete sidewalk.
A very good lesson to take to heart. The overflowing beauty and joy that comes from allowing yourself to fully blossom is absolutely worth the risks you may endure to get there.
The world needs you in full bloom, not to shrivel up in pain while trapped tight in a bud.

Have you ever made a wish list for your life? Or taken the time to reflect during the milestones of your life?
In this week's episode I talk about the list I made 5 years ago when I was 30 and the things I had written out for what I wanted in my life in 5 years.
How I happened to find that note recently and was shocked to see everything I had written down became my reality.

Who are you blaming for the circumstances in your life? Such a great questions to ask ourselves.
It's so easy for us to place blame on external forces for why things are going wrong in our lives. We never stop to think about what responsibility we have in every situation. We forget our power, we forget we have choices and options
In this episode I share some of my 'aha' moments where I came to this realization, took responsibility and started making an effort to make changes in my life and how you can too.

Numbing the pain of hard truths can be a path that leads to addiction. Pain can also be produced from the experiences with an addict.
In this episode I am getting super vulnerable and sharing some of the experiences I had having a mother as an addict. How I felt, and a few of the traumatic moments I had with her as a child.
I also go into depth on gaining a greater awareness to the pain we experience in our lives, how to shift our focus to be able to live freely as our true selves. How we all have scars and we shouldn't be ashamed but love ourselves as we are, because even when we feel broken, we are still whole, and fully loved.

*SPOILER ALERT* This podcast episode contains spoilers for season 4 of Stranger Things!
As a huge fan of Stranger Things, this 4th season blew my mind!  This season showed us the power of music in Kate Bush's song 'Running up that hill' and the new characters and plot twists made for an incredibly entertaining season.
In this Heart AF episode I talk about this latest season and how I feel the character Vecna is a great parallel for showing us the evils of our negative self talk that lie within the shadows of our minds. And how we can dissect some of the interactions in the show and how they relate to real life, the power of our minds, and the healing and meditative power of music.
Let me know your thoughts or take aways from this week's show!

Time to side with Ross from FRIENDS and really instill the "WE WERE ON A BREAK" mindset. From my own personal story, this episode addresses the internal struggles of wanting to take time off and away from our responsibilities but feeling so guilty about it, why we may feel guilty, and how to let go and release control to take that much needed BREAK!
We all need time every now and then to recharge our batteries even when things don't go as planned, it's all good, baby bayba....!✌️

Live #HeartAF

I am an advocate for finding our inner strength.

We can view life as something that happens to us, choosing to be a victim, or find the inner strength through the power and love from our Source that is within us all, to heal our wounds and become the co-creators of our lives that we were always meant to be.

Instead of hardening our hearts and becoming bitter from our pain, we can find our purpose by healing and opening our hearts to the love, abundance, and opportunity that is available to us all.
